Drop-in Work Club and IT Club

Improve your IT skills for everyday use. Improve your future job prospects

Every Thursday / 9am – 12noon and 12.30 – 3.30pm (last drop-in 12.45pm) / Weston Library, Chamberlayne Leisure Centre Car Park, Southampton, SO19 9SJ / All 18 + Welcome

They can help you with:

  • Learning and improving your IT use
  • Applying online for school places, jobs, prescriptions, benefits, Universal Job Match and contacting the council
  • Searching for work, preparing a CV and covering letter
  • Preparing for an interview

Learn how to:

  • Use emails
  • Use social media
  • Use comparison websites
  • Download photographs from a digital camera
  • Research on the internet

These are drop-in clubs, there is no need to book. Individual help is given with personalised learning.

Employment Access Centre

Run by the Wheatsheaf Trust who can help with validating overseas qualifications through UK NARIC – the National Agency responsible for providing information, advice and expert opinion on vocational, academic and professional skills and qualifications from over 180 countries worldwide.

Bitterne Drop-in IT support and help

Help with IT related queries on Tuesday mornings – bring your laptop or tablet with you or use one of ours.

Also Job Club – help with using IT for job searches, applications, and general employment advice.

Meggeson Avenue SO18 2FH (ring buzzer if door locked). Check with organisers during holiday periods.
