Walking Football AND Football Skills for adults with learning disabilities. FREE TRIAL lessons.

A new football group for adults with learning disabilities (ages 16+)

Every Wednesday, 6 – 7pm at Hounsdown School, Jacobs Gutter Lane Totton Southampton SO40 9FT.

First session was Wednesday 22nd March 2017

Come along and make new friends, and brush up your football skills.

If you haven’t played football for a while and want to ease back gently then try our walking football coaching sessions ON THE FIRST WEDNESDAY OF THE MONTH.

Depending on demand, the plan is to have the first Wednesday of the month as a walking football group, and the other Wednesdays as standard football. You can of course attend both!

The first part of the session will be skills development, such as ball control, passing practice, etc  The second part will be short games within the group depending on numbers.  Sessions will be led by a qualified coach.

This is a new group so will take a while to establish, and the club plan to find volunteers to support the club members, encouraging participation and helping out the coach.  Until this is established they would ask support staff/parents/carers to stay if possible.  Anyone wishing to join in is welcome.

Your first 2 sessions are FREE!!!!  After that the cost is £4 per session.

Once you decide to attend regularly, the club has a £10 annual family membership donation that entitles you to attend any of the club’s sports coaching sessions, and any social events.  you will also be added to the mailing list and hear about other activities in the area.

The club has been running for over 12 years.  They are a registered charity, number 1109962.  They have the Clubmark award, which is the universally acknowledged cross sport accreditation scheme for community sports clubs.  They are also affiliated to Mencap.  The club is run by a small committee of parents.

This new group is initially supported by a grant from Sport England.
