Jointly – available for mobile phones, tablets and computers – offers a simple, practical way to share information and co-ordinate tasks amongst an invited circle who are helping look after a loved one.
In addition to being available for individual purchase, Jointly can be offered to carers for free by forward thinking employers and service providers.
British Gas is the first employer to sign up to Jointly and make it available to its employees. Surrey County Council is the first local authority to introduce Jointly.
Care for an ageing population and for those with illness or disability is a growing issue for society and business. Already there are 6.5 million carers across the UK – half juggling care with work, a third caring for older relatives alongside raising children.
The Jointly app offers:
- Private and secure group messaging to keep everyone informed and better connected.
- Profile and contacts page, with easily accessible vital information such as medication lists.
- Shared calendar and task lists to coordinate responsibilities, organise what needs to get done and store important information.
The Jointly app was developed by the Sidekick Studios incubator, Sidekick School and Milo Creative with support from social tech funder Nominet Trust and the Technology Strategy Board.
How to order
Jointly is available to download as a mobile app from Apple and at Google Play stores for a one-off payment of £2.99.
A PC/Laptop version is also available from jointlyapp.com
