Young Carers are those up to 25 years of age. Although, Carers in Southampton provides support for carers from the age of 18 they may also be eligible to receive support from Young Carer organisations.

No Limits

Free and confidential information, advice, counselling, support and advocacy for young people below the age of 26.


We offer information, advice, counselling, advocacy and support for young people under 26 living in Southampton and Hampshire. No matter what is worrying you, we are here to help. All of our staff are friendly and won’t judge you. They won’t tell you what to do; instead they will help you make the choices that are right for you. All of our services are free to young people.  We won’t tell anyone what you have told us, unless you or another person are at risk of harm.

Our Drop-in Centre is located at 13 High Street, Southampton, SO14 2DF. Opening times:

Monday: 10am-5pm, Tuesday: 10am-5pm, Wednesday: 1.30pm-8pm, Thursday: 10am-8pm, Friday: 10am-5pm, Saturday: 10am-1.30pm

Advocacy: Just 4U – No Limits

If you are aged 5-18 (10-18 in Southampton) looked after by Portsmouth or Southampton Social Care or have a social worker then we have some specialist services in your local area that could help. Our Just 4U Project provides Independent Advocates that can help you get your point of view across at meetings, help you find out about your rights and help you to make a complaint if you are unhappy.

 We offer counselling at our Drop In Centre and our Avenue building for young people aged 11 to 25. If you are aged 11-18 and live outside of Southampton (postcodes SO20 and above) then we will try to put you in touch with a similar service that is close to you as our current funding only covers those living in SO14 -SO19. If you would like to speak to one of our counsellors about anything that is bothering you then please get in touch. We can offer you counselling once a week with a trained counsellor for as long as you feel you need it.

The Moving on Project

The Moving On Project is a charity working in Fareham and Gosport, to provide help for young people aged 11-25, to improve their lives. We offer confidential, discrete support, including free counselling to local young people. We are based at the

X-perience Youth Centre, Fareham and also offer counselling in Gosport. In addition to our counselling and mentoring services, we co-deliver 6 weekly drop-in health and wellbeing sessions in a number of local youth centres including Bridgemary, Brune Park, Bay House School, and the Odyssey Youth Centre.

Sexual Health/HIV: No Limits

You can pop in to our Drop In Centre or to our health and well-being drop-ins in schools and colleges without making an appointment. You will be able to speak in confidence to one of our trained workers, and you can get free condoms, Chlamydia screening and pregnancy testing. We want you to have positive and healthy relationships and so all our staff are well trained in helping young people in this area.

Breakout Youth

Breakout Youth is an independent charity based in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight. We offer a confidential support service for young people aged 13 to 21, who identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning or unsure of their sexuality or gender identity. We run regular confidential youth groups in Southampton, Eastleigh, Basingstoke, and the Isle of Wight . With access to confidential one-to-one support, free condoms, Chlamydia screening, pregnancy testing and advice from qualified sexual health workers. As well as offering local activities and events providing enjoyment, support and valuable information.

Google tools for special needs

Technology can be a powerful tool to assist people with special needs or any sort of learning challenge. In particular the Chrome web browser allows users to install a wide variety of web extensions that provide tools that can help all learners, regardless of ability level.

The Prince’s Trust

Many of the young people we help are in, or leaving, care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or have been in trouble with the law.
