Answers to questions we have received

Can Fosters Carers get this also?
If you are a paid foster carer then you would not be eligible for the card. The card is specifically for people looking after someone with additional needs and not in receipt of remuneration for that role. People in receipt of carers allowance and attendance allowance are eligible.

Businesses, would you like to reward Southampton’s unpaid carers?

Our directory of special offers will be widely promoted to unpaid family carers in the city so it’s a great chance for you to let carers know about your business.  As well as reaching more customers, you will have the satisfaction of knowing that you are supporting community wellbeing.
